Gypsy Rose Blanchard is a mom! The reality star announced the birth of her first baby with her partner Ken Urker on New Year’s Day. “Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all.”
Gypsy, who entered the spotlight after falling victim to Munchausen by Proxy at the hands of her mother and then being convicted for having a hand in her mother’s murder, announced in July that she was growing her family. During her pregnancy, she shared her baby’s sex and moniker. Now, her little one is here! The couple welcomed a baby girl and named her Aurora Raina Urker.
Last month, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup star opened up about the inspiration behind her daughter’s name, which she credits to Ken. The couple dated while she was incarcerated, but had broken up before her release. When Gypsy was released, she was married to a man named Ryan Anderson. However, months after getting out, Gypsy and Ken rekindled their romance. During their previous time together, the reality star shared, “Back whenever Ken and I were together seven years ago, both of us have a fascination with the Northern Lights, and the proper term is the Aurora Borealis.”
She went on to explain, “I think it was maybe in 2018, we wrote each other’s future kid’s name on pieces of paper and Aurora is what we both picked without even knowing each other was picking it.” The couple has plans to see the Northern Lights one day. “Some day we’re going to see it,” she shared. “After I’m off parole we’re going to go. We’re going to go to Sweden.”
