Formula 1 racing drive Max Verstappen is growing his family! The F1 champion and his girlfriend Kelly Piquet, a model, revealed they are expecting their first baby together. This little one with Max’s second baby.
The couple shared an Instagram post to announce their pregnancy news. In a black-and-white image that featured a close-up of the couple’s stomachs, Kelly’s baby bump was on display with a see-through white blouse. Max rested his hand on Kelly’s bump and her hand was placed over his. “Mini Verstappen-Piquet on the way,” the Grands Prix winner wrote in the caption. “We couldn’t be happier with our little miracle.”
Following the post, Kelly reshared the post to her Instagram Stories and added her own message of gratitude. “Cannot express how happy we are. Thank you all for the sweet warm messages.” The model also shared a poignant message to those who might struggle hearing this news. “I understand how these announcements can be challenging for those who are longing for a child. While such news is often a joyous occasion, it can also evoke feelings of sadness, frustration, or longing in those who are struggling with this. If that’s you, I’m sending all my love, my deepest hugs, and magic your way.”
Max and Kelly’s baby will be the racing driver’s second child. He shares a 5-year-old daughter named Penelope with his ex Daniil Kvyat, a fellow F1 driver. Max and Daniil broke up in 2019 and the driver started dating the model the following year in 2020. The couple didn’t confirm their relationship until January 2021.
